My name is Robert DiGiacomo, and I’m a Philadelphia-based freelance journalist-editor whose travels have taken me Down Under, south of the border, across the pond and almost everywhere in between.
My articles on travel, food and wine, arts and entertainment, LGBTQ topics, personal finance and career issues have appeared in major print and online publications, including AAA World, The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, USA TODAY, Forbes, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Fodor’s, MSNBC, CNN, Next Avenue and Monster.
I’m also a senior managing editor for Contently, a content marketing agency; a content writer for such brands as Marriott, Synchrony Bank and Dell; an editor for white papers and other materials for non-government organizations (NGOs); and a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA).
I also have enjoyed regular brushes with fame as an arts and entertainment writer. I’ve chatted up everyone from Jon Stewart, Kathy Griffin and John Waters to Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry and the one-and-only Charo.
On these pages, you’ll find a sampling of my work. You can also view my portfolio here.
